The polymorphism of HF (beta 1H-globulin) was investigated in three Asian populations (Bangladeshis, Tibetans and Indonesians) by means of isoelectric focusing and immunoblotting. Phenotypes associated with three common alleles (HF*A, HF*B and HF*Q0) and a rare allele HF*A1 were identified.
