Abstract excerpt
The immunoglobulin (Ig) plasma levels are known to be, at least partially, genetically regulated, but all the genes involved are not known. Interleukin-1 (IL-1) is a potent proinflammatory cytokine able to serve as an adjuvant for immune responses.
