The nifA gene from Mesorhizobium huakuii 159 was identified and sequenced. An open reading frame coding for 44734D. NifA protein would detected. Comparison of the deduced amino acid sequence with other NifA proteins revealed the presence of the conserved central domain and the C-terminal DNA-binding domains.
