Tetrodotoxin-resistant Na+currents are expressed in a variety of muscle cells including human jejunal circular smooth muscle (HJCSM) cells. The aim of this study was to determine the molecular identity of the pore-forming alpha-subunit of the HJCSM Na+ channel.
