Lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma (LPL) is characterized by t(9;14)(p13;q32) in 50% of patients who lack paraproteinemia. Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM), which has an immunoglobulin M (IgM) paraproteinemia, is classified as an LPL.
