The Sardinia Conference included a presentation on the virological results of a randomized, double-blind study that assessed the antiviral activity and tolerability of the HIV-proteinase inhibitor saquinavir (SQV), combined with zidovudine (ZDV), in totally antiretroviral naive patients.
