Enzymatic transglycosylation of lactose into oligosaccharides was studied using wild-type beta-glucosidase (CelB) and active site mutants thereof (M424K, F426Y, M424K/F426Y) and wild-type beta-mannosidase (BmnA) of the hyperthermophilic Pyrococcus furiosus.
