Abstract excerpt
Tobacco plants were genetically transformed with the Arabidopsis thaliana heterologous hmg1 gene encoding 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase, a key enzyme involved in the metabolism of terpenoid compounds.
