OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the role of insulin receptor substrate-1 (IRS-1) and glucose transporter-1 (GLUT1) gene polymorphisms in Chinese patients with noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) and diabetic neophropathy (DN).
