Pseudomonas oleovorans is capable of producing poly(3-hydroxyalkanoates) (PHAs) as intracellular storage material. To analyze the possible involvement of phaD in medium-chain-length (MCL) PHA biosynthesis, we generated a phaD knockout mutant by homologous recombination.
