Mesothelin, a differentiation antigen, is a 40-kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol-linked cell-surface glycoprotein, that is present on the surface of normal mesothelium and is overexpressed in many patients with epithelial ovarian cancer and malignant mesotheliomas.
