Abstract excerpt
Malaria-immune human sera were tested for their ability to affect the infectivity of Plasmodium falciparum gametocytes to Anopheles stephensi mosquitoes. Transmission-reducing effects of the sera were associated with the presence of antibodies to the gamete surface protein, Pfs230.
