Basaloid squamous cell carcinoma (BSCC) is a rare variant of conventional squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) frequently affecting the upper aerodigestive tract. The hypopharynx, tonsil, supraglottic larynx, tongue (base), and head-neck regions are particularly susceptible to BSCC.
