Acute primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG) is a potentially blinding ophthalmic emergency requiring prompt treatment to lower the elevated intraocular pressure in humans and dogs. Canine PACG is epidemiologically similar to humans with older and female patients overrepresented with the condition.
