Somatic hybrids between three dihaploid Solanum tuberosum (2n = 2x = 24) genotypes and the frost-tolerant, diploid, relative Solanum commersonii (2n = 2x = 24) were analysed for variation in morphological traits, fertility and frost tolerance.
