<h4>Summary</h4> Using fluorescent protein-tagged F-actin reporters we studied the actin cytoskeleton in Aspergillus nidulans . F-actin probes labeled endocytic patches, contractile actin rings and the Spitzenkörper (SPK), but not exocytic cables generated by the SPK-associated formin, illuminated only by tropomyosin.
