<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> Alpha-1 antitrypsin (AAT) deficiency is a common genetic disorder with lung and liver involvement. Most patients carry the Z allele in SERPINA1 that encodes a mutant AAT (ATZ) forming hepatotoxic polymers.
