We have investigated ultrastructural changes in the integuments of larval–adult and larval–pupal intermediates produced by exogenous application of juvenile hormone (JH) analogues in Pyrrhocoris apterus (Hemiptera), and Galleria mellonella and Manduca sexta (Lepidoptera).
