Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is an important crop of the subtropics and tropics. In August 2017, profuse white cottony growth on eggplant stems and branches (cv. Dilnasheen) was found in a field of the Plant Pathology Research Institute, Ayub Agricultural Research Institute Faisalabad, Pakistan.
