Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus T.) is an economically important fruit crop in China. In September 2017, fruit rot was observed on watermelon fruits in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China. The disease occurred on approximately 5% of watermelon fruits in two commercial fields (3 ha), located about 5 km apart.
