Phomopsis black root rot of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.), caused by Diaporthe sclerotioides (syn. Phomopsis sclerotioides), has been reported in Austria, Britain, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and Norway (Shishido et al. 2016).
