<h4>Background</h4> Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) is one of the most common forms of younger-onset dementia. FTD is genetically, pathologically and clinically related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a rapidly progressive neurodegenerative disorder.
