Sudden wilt and blight developed on ginseng seedlings (Panax ginseng) in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, in June 2017. Rootlets rotted and fell off. Aseptate hyphae were observed in this trace tissue that detached from main roots, which had orange-yellowish tinges.
