<title>Abstract</title> <p>Strain IB182493<sup>T</sup>, a marine, aerobic, Gram-stain-negative and motile bacterium, was isolated from seashore sand of South China Sea. Cells grew optimally at 25–30°C, pH 7.0–8.0 and in 2–4 % NaCl (w/v).
