Polycythemia Vera (PV) is a myeloproliferative neoplasm driven by activating mutations in JAK2 that result in unrestrained erythrocyte production, increasing patients’ hematocrit and hemoglobin concentration, placing them at risk of life-threatening thrombotic events.
