<h4>SUMMARY</h4> Pseudomonas aeruginosa ( Pa ) and Burkholderia cepacia complex (Bcc) species are opportunistic lung pathogens of individuals with cystic fibrosis (CF). While Pa can initiate long-term infections in younger CF patients, Bcc infections only arise in teenagers and adults.
