To compensate for the hypoprotein and hypoalbuminemia of familial amyloidotic polyneuropathy (FAP) patients, 800 ml of fresh frozen plasma (FFP) was intravenously administered and change in total and variant transthyretin (TTR) levels were measured in the plasma.
