A mutant plasmid with elevated expression efficiency of GC-rich Thermus thermophilus leuB gene was screened in Escherichia coli. A wild-type plasmid pHB2 carrying T. thermophilus leuB gene was introduced into leuB-deficient E. coli C600 cells.
