We studied the dissociation rates of peptidyl-tRNA from the P-site of poly(U)-programmed wild-type Escherichia coli ribosomes, hyperaccurate variants altered in S12 (SmD, SmP) and error-prone variants (Ram) altered in S4 or S5.
