Allotype frequencies of complement C4, factor B and C3 proteins were determined in 192 healthy unrelated individuals from North India. The gene frequencies for the most common factor B and C3 alleles were close to the data already published. As expected, significant differences were observed in this first study of C4 allotype frequencies among the North Indian population in comparison to European Caucasians....
