Apolipoprotein H (apoH, protein; APOH, gene) has been implicated as a necessary cofactor for the binding of certain autoimmune antiphospholipid antibodies to anionic phospholipids. APOH exhibits genetically determined structural polymorphism with the occurrence of four alleles.
