For the first time the complete cDNA encoding two isoallergens of the non-pyroglyphid dust mite Lepidoglyphus destructor, Lep d 1, allergen has been sequenced. In addition, one of the isoallergens was found to have two variants. Oligonucleotides were designed from known amino acid sequences.
