A number of gynecologic cancers are associated with hereditary cancer syndromes (HCS). These neoplasms may represent the sentinel lesion for HCS within the affected individual/family. Many of these tumors exhibit distinctive histologic and immunohistochemical features that are associated with HCS tumors.
