Philadelphia-chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL) is characterized by reciprocal chromosomal translocation between chromosome 9 and 22, leading to the expression of constitutively active oncogenic BCR–ABL1 fusion protein.
