Dwarfing is an ideal agronomic trait in crop breeding, which can improve lodging resistance and increase crop productivity. In this study, we identified a dwarf mutant cp-3 from an EMS-mutagenized population, which had extremely short internodes, and the cell length and number of internodes were significantly reduced.
