BACKGROUND: Rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (RBD) is an early feature of Parkinson's disease (PD) and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB). Damaging coding variants in Glucocerebrosidase (GBA1) are a genetic risk factor for RBD.
