Grimontia hollisae collagenase (Ghcol) exhibits high collagen-degrading activity. To explore its catalytic mechanism, its substrate (Gly-Pro-Hyp-Gly-Pro-Hyp, GPOGPO)-complexed crystal structure was determined at 2.0 Å resolution.
