The efficacy of combination therapy with an immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) and cytotoxic chemotherapeutic agents has been investigated in cancer, including melanoma. Before ICIs were introduced, dacarbazine or temozolomide (TMZ) were used to treat melanoma.
