Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) is a major causative agent of neurological infection affecting humans and pigs. Human T Cell Immunoglobulin and Mucin Domain 1 (hTIM-1) enhances the infection of JEV through virion-associated phosphatidylserine (PS) binding.
