Pregnancy is proposed to aggravate cyst progression in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) but Tolvaptan, the only FDA-approved drug for adult ADPKD, is not recommended for pregnant ADPKD patients because of potential fetal harm.
