BACKGROUND: Building on the success of targeted therapy in certain well-defined cancer genotypes, three platform studies-NCI-MATCH, LUNG-MAP and The National Lung Matrix Trial (NLMT)-have attempted to discover new genotype-matched therapies for people with cancer.
