Cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy (CADASIL) is a genetic small vessel disease characterized by NOTCH3 mutation and abnormal aggregation of NOTCH3 mutant proteins around vessel walls.
