Primary tumors of the spinal cord are rare, accounting for 3-6% of tumors in the central nervous system, particularly in children. KIAA1549-BRAF fusion is more common in pilocytic astrocytoma (PA) and IDH1 R132H mutation is rare in infratentorial tumors.
