BACKGROUND: Hypertension is a complex disorder affected by gene-environment interactions. Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) gene is one of the genes in One Carbon Metabolic (OCM) pathway that affects both blood pressure and epigenetic phenomenon.
