Malignant hyperthermia (MH) is a severe hypermetabolic disorder associated with dysregulation of calcium homeostasis and is triggered by inhalational anesthetics (isoflurane, sevoflurane, desflurane) and a depolarizing muscle relaxant (succinylcholine).
