BACKGROUND: Decitabine (DAC) is an FDA-approved DNA methyltransferase (DNMT) inhibitor that is used in the treatment of patients with myelodysplastic syndromes. Previously, we showed that DAC marks antitumor activity against gliomas with isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) mutations.
