Lincomycin is one of the most important antibiotics in clinical practice. To further understand the regulatory mechanism on lincomycin biosynthesis, we investigated a pleiotropic transcriptional regulator AdpAlin in the lincomycin producer S. lincolnensis NRRL 2936.
