The DDX41 gene is a member of the DEAD/H-box RNA helicase family; recurrently mutated in ~1% of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML), as well as multiple myeloma and various lymphomas.1, 2 Its exact role in leukemogenesis is not well understood.
