Aims: Mitral valve (MV) abnormalities are recognized features of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), and there is preliminary evidence suggesting they are intrinsic phenotypic manifestations of sarcomere mutations, present in mutation carriers without left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy (subclinical HCM).
