Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis was performed on RNA from rotaviruses isolated from two immunocompromised patients with prolonged rotavirus diarrhea. Extensive variations were observed in the genomes of rotaviruses isolated from each patient during a 16-week period of their illness.
